Operosa Montenegro Opera Festival 2017!
The only opera festival in Montenegro will be held from August 23rd to 27th on the historical fortresses of Kanli Kula, Forte Mare and the Old Town of Herceg Novi. The main event of this festival will be the Montenegrin premier of the lyric opera Iolanta by Tchaikovsky, which will be performed at Kanli Kula, on August 25th and 26th, starting at 9 P.M.
Operosa Montenegro Opera Festival 2017 (OMOF2017) combines young and talented, but also renowned international opera artists. The main goal of the Festival is to promote the traditional opera in a modern way, which will bring this type of music closer to the younger audience. Providing a chance for young, talented artists to create and promote their talent, as well as cooperation with renowned, international opera experts, is what distinguishes this festival.
As the convergence of classical music to young people is one of the most important goals of the organization of this festival, this year, under the project Young@Opera, free entry will be provided for those younger than 18 years old on the 26th and 27th of August at Kanli Kula.
We invite all opera lovers but also those who are not, to come and enjoy, to experience a completely new side to classical music at Operosa Montenegro Opera Festival 2017 from August 23rd to 27th!
